My name is Eric Guernsey, and for more than a decade, I've had the privilege of serving Oshawa as a public servant in the Member of Parliament's office and in volunteer leadership roles with community organizations. Throughout my career, I've enjoyed bringing people together to solve problems by drawing on research and evidence to make thoughtful decisions that strengthen our communityI've been a Public Library Trustee for the past eight years and have had the privilege of serving as Chair of the Oshawa Public Library Board since 2022. That experience has given me the opportunity to help guide a vital community institution, and it's one of the reasons I've decided to run for Ward 4 on Oshawa City Council.I'm running because I care deeply about Oshawa and my friends and neighbours who call it home. I believe we need practical, thoughtful leadership that listens to residents, makes responsible decisions, and plans for the future. I want to help keep our neighbourhoods safe, support a vibrant downtown, grow our local economy, and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely.This website is just the beginning.
